Logical Fallacies: Introduction

"And maybe that is what we have, in fact, become. For Donald Trump’s refusal to condemn the murderous white supremacists in Charlottesville finally confirms what has become increasingly obvious: The current president of the United States isn’t a real American." -Paul Krugman

In anti-trump article titled, "When the President is Un-American", Paul Krugman makes many remarks against trump, his actions, and views in efforts to show how unconnected he is to the American people. When analyzing the manner in which Trump addressed the violent, bigoted acts that occurred in Charlottesville more recently, he made the remark stated above. Trump failed, in his address, to describe the white-supremacist status of the man who ran his car into the protestors. Logical fallacy can be described simply as an error in logic/reasoning, especially while making a claim or argument. It is logical fallacy to base such a minuscule wrongdoing to credit such a loaded and intricate claim/argument."In short," Krugman wrote, "these days we have a president who is really, truly, deeply un-American, someone who doesn't share the values and ideals that made this country special." Such small error in reporting a whole truth of the situation does not make the president entirely disconnected from its country.
